- Take the shorter but more dangerous route past Castle Shadowcrag (4.5 days to Obersteinau**).**

- Take the longer but safer route to Altbach (2.5 days to Altbach, 6 days to Obersteinau)

[ ] The roads from Zobeck up to Obertal are safe enough. The guardians at Obertal are protective over their lands.
[ ] The roads from Obertal to Gunnacks and Grisal are dangerous, bordering on the Doresh which is under the rule of King Lucan.
[ ] Castle Shadowcrag was once ruled over by the Stross family. Their lineage and control over Zobeck and the region was broken but it was bloody and ugly. Men, women, and children were executed at the castle and some say their ghosts remain. Something certainly does.
