Strong Start

Kavax - Speaker of the Fourth shows up and demands fealty. You are all now under the warm embrace of the Fourth Emperor. All of your worries are over. We will soon submit you all to determine how you best serve the emperor. The good news is there is a place for all of you. In particular, some of you have an affinity for connections to numenera – Some call you nanos. You will serve the emperor the best.

• [ ] The Heralds of the Fourth have satellites above the planet capable of emitting holograms anywhere on the planet. What else can these satellites do?
• [x] Samgee 1138L is just one of a number of sentient mechanical warriors known as the Glistening Army built long ago and abandoned.
• [x] The Heralds of the Fourth Emperor seek nanos in particular because they are the most valuable in building up the Fourth Empire quickly.
• [ ] There are sentient beings who have gone over the top with their integration of numenera. Some become shambling horrors, some become dreamwalkers who become inanimate and think big thoughts.
• [x] Kimly - Walker of the Fourth Emperor knew that her mind was being taken over and sought a cure before she lost her faculties. She knew that the vault held nanites capable of breaking the connection of the Fourth Empire’s Voice nanites.
• [ ] Something shattered the Fourth Empire after millions of years of control. Almost no records exist of what did it but there almost a complete dark age for millions of years after the Fourth Empire fell. Even the Datasphere was dark.
• [ ] Researchers into this phenomena call it “the Hex”.
• [ ] The Hex is pure chaos compared to the order of the Fourth Emperor.
• [ ] Like the Fourth Empire, the Hex exists in both the Real and in the Datasphere. Unlike the Fourth Empire, it does not reach into the Outside.
