Roughly one hundred thousand years ago, seven orbs were brought into Eberron from Dal Quor. Each orb has a personality of a powerful Quori within it that act as emissaries of the Dreaming Dark. Originally they sought to increase the influence of Dal Quor into the world. They were cut off from the Dreaming Dark when Cul'sir brought down one of Eberron's moons and destroyed the portal that connected Dal Quor to the World.
