Strong Start

The characters accompany Garland Willowmane of the Gatekeepers to welcome Kartharax, Scourge of ... somewhere? into the City of Arches where he is given a basket of fancy artisan cheeses, crackers, and fancy scented soaps and told to visit the baths. Afterwards, Knight Investigator Llamys Telerond meets with them and hires them to recover a cursed scroll from the derelict warship, the White Song, currently being protected by a group of former members of the Golden Knights, known as the Night Claws.

Secret and Clues

[ ] An ancient elemental airship called the White Song, is long buried under the catacombs north of the city.
[ ] A group of corrupt guards who call themselves the Night Claws once members of the Golden Knights now serving the Black Hand.
[ ] Lord Bianca Swifthand of the Golden Knights prefers that this situation be kept secret because the Night Claws have friends among the Golden Knights.
[ ] The Night Claws have political power among the Golden Council, further requiring the situation to remain quiet.
[ ] It’s believed that the Night Claws are in league with the Black Hand and that the scroll gives them power over the city.
[ ] The Black Hand gave the Night Claws a powerful weapon with which to protect the scroll.
