Not in Bodrov anymore are you kid? Took for granted all he grew up with. Thinking of his mother and extended family. Thankfully he still has a people he can call family.
Real name William P. Jakobs.
Noble who is out and about to learn about the real world.
At the edges of the fray he starts.
The last 14 months seemed like a weird dream to N'kia - a dream that felt plotless, but full of danger and sadness. He had never been very good on his own - his excessive extroversion required a wide cast of constantly changing character to keep him engaged and interested - after all, thats why he decided to become an "adventurer" in the first place. When he first joined the group, he was sure he had found his place and the cast of characters that would be good for at least a few years. It didn't take long, however, to find out how dangerous and serious this Jack business really was - people were relying on him for their safety - N'kia had never had any responsibilities, save to his tutors and his Mother. "I wonder if she worries about me?", he thought. N'kia imagined her as he had last seen her - regal and honored and in charge. He had a sinking suspicion that she was not as such now - how could anybody or everything be the same, let alone safe and alive?
What had kept him going was Cecelia - she was his north star now - not like a Mother, but more like the litmus test for what mattered and what did not. They had struck out on their own more than a year ago, not by choice but by necessity. She led and he followed and he watched as she slowly, over these many months, turned to her true nature. He could see the sadness eyes and the sense of desperation as she pushed them forward to the finish line - to save Kimly and destroy the Datasphere vertex once and for all.
They had traveled through the realm and datasphere, looking and collecting and hoping for a new day of chance and opportunity. It all seemed like a bloody smear of memory to N'kia. He had learned to take without doubt and kill without guilt. They first few were tough, but Cecilia's single-mindedness and assurances that it was for the greater good kept him going. He could tell that she had her doubts, that she carried the weight of the world on her several pairs of shoulders and was protecting him from the world as it was - promising a world as it would be.
