Frostmaiden Grievances
- [ ] Eight out of ten starting quests can wipe out 1st level characters and offer no warnings.
- [ ] Most of chapter 2's locations have no connection, no purpose, and no useful reward. The book offers no guidance for tying these to any sort of central plot.
- [ ] Chapter 1 is 3x bigger than it should be given its level range. It's a 1st to 7th level chapter packed into 1 to 4 levels. It should have about 6 quests instead of 13+.
- [ ] The adventure offers no guidance on when you should face Sephek Kaltro and he's likely deadly for 1st level characters.
- [ ] Town Speakers murdering their own citizens makes players not want to help them.
- [ ] Incest couples in Dougan's Hole??
- [ ] The trials in Grimskalle suck and their timing make no sense.
- [ ] The timing of the chardalon dragon's attack and how quickly the characters can intercede doesn't work. The chardalon dragons whole flight plan means you're likely to lose half of ten towns.
- [ ] There's no motivation to go to Ythrin once you solve the Endless Night. Let's follow that evil woman with the undead dogsled! She seems nice!
- [ ] You can solve the Endless Night by killing a roc. That's apparently enough to stop a god.
- [ ] Auril is a big chump. "The Frostmaiden is not some demon prince, vampire, lich, beholder crime lord, or archdevil. She’s a god—and a cold-hearted one at that." Uh huh... Which is more dangerous at 8th level, Auril or Acererak?
- [ ] Players have no idea what to do when they show up at Sunblight Fortress and see the dragon fly away.
- [ ] MORE trials! This time in Ythrin! Yay!
- [ ] The C dragon is ALSO a big wimp when you actually face it. It's the size of a building and yet has 147 hp.
- [ ] Avalanche mechanics make no sense. You either avoid them completely or get crushed immediately.
